Glimpses of glory:
1.The Foundation-Stone of the Old Main Block was laid on 4th May,1912, by the then Punjab Governor Sir Laois Done.
2. Brig Sherjung Thapa, Hero of Skardu(1948), the first awarded Mahavir Chakra, was student in the College in 1926.
3. It was the initiative of the then Principal Shri Gomti Prasad that subject Geology started at this college even before the department began functioning in Punjab University Chandigarh. When it comes to Masters degree in Geology, Dharamshala College was the First College in Himachal Pradesh to introduce it in 1984.
4. In order to cater to the growing demand of computer awareness among the youth, this college has introduced a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from 2007-08 academic session. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) was started in June 2009. Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Bio-Tech was started in June 2012.
5. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme was introduced by the Himachal Pradesh
University, Shimla in the College of Business Studies in 1997 with the objectives of training and
meeting man power requirements for junior management positions. and Master of Business Adminstration (MBA) was started in 2011.
